-=[ Why No Xpress ]=-
These utilities will not directly support any Xpress version.. I suppose
someone will kludge their way around If Jonathon Murray doesn't get his
version out in time but it will have to be a kludge.
I am no longer supporting SilverXpress either nationally, or locally. The
only place I will allow the utilities to be used is on my own BBS and
once I manage to wean the users off the Door it will be discarded
forever.
After years of supporting SilverXpress (I offered support to both the
RBBS version for FIDO and QBBS version for HMS message bases) Hector
Blew a gasket because I wrote a utility to interface Blue Wave to
SilverXpress. Now bear in mind I didn't ask to Join Hector's team
anymore than I volunteered to join George's.. I was trying to do a favor
for the TAG sysops .. I am after all a beta site for TAG. Hector's
absurd hatred for The Blue Wave Door (and related persons) exploded in
my face via two rather unpleasant Netmail messages... It's Hector's
opinion that you are either 100% Xpress or a toad... Well Xpress is/was
a very nice package but the man behind a program is indicative of the
directions the program will take and Hector's pretty much appears to be
self centered and "my way or the highway" ish.. and besides I ain't no body's
punching bag.
If this version of the TAG2BW utilities detects the intent to utilize it
for SilverXpress they will Exit with a message not to attempt such usage
again... While I release these programs to be used freely I do stipulate
they are NOT to be used in a way to enhance or interface in any way, the
SilverXpress mail system. Doing so constitutes a violation of
Copyright. Remember these programs are not -public domain- but rather are
to be considered freeware and this doesn't release you from copyright
restraints such as this admonishment.
Please.. this is the only thing I ask and I appreciate your indulgence.
